Personal Background
Mike was born on 08.10.1967 and sadly passed away on 25.05.2008 at the age of 40.
Mike D as we all called him, well except the kids who all said Uncle Mike, was born in Pontiac Michigan to Brenda and whats his name. It was Brenda's second child, and she had two more after Mike D. Mike D lived on Edison St. just up from the ballpark. Thats were I meet him for the first time. For Kindergarten we went to Sarah McCarroll, then we headed to WHRC for 1st thru 4th then back to Sarah McCarroll for 5th and 6th grade. We always seemed to get put in the same class all them yrs like it was suppose to happen. Most every thing I can remember Mike D was there, I remember when for halloween we dressed as girls and went to a party at Howard Dell Center. They really thought we were girls and introduced us to a group of girls who had looks like OMG. I remember hot summers going to Bald Mountain beach swimming and Mike D and I would walk all the way over to the side where the big concrete drain off was to look for frogs and bugs or whatever. I also remember Mike D coming home every day from school to watch a rerun of leave it to Beaver, every day lol. We went to James Madison Jr High and then Pontiac Northern H.S. The start of Jr high was ok we didnt get to many classes together but was always walking to the bus stop together and coming home we would wait for each other in school and walk out to the bus together. Mike D did go to New Mexico for a while in high school he returned I believe it was our junior yr. So we both did graduate on time in 1985 even tho we missed like 80 days a semester in 9th grade. Mike took off to new mexico and I went to court, nothing ever came of it I said I would do better and they said ok. Man when Mike D returned he was ready to party. Mike D sure did love to party down, we started at the young age of 12 drinking together, not sure why we just did. We always hung out with older guys back then first it was Brian and Art then Joe, Doogal, Steve(rip) and a few others we would hang out with. It was real funny that we did a lot of drinking at St Mike's church that was the hangout. Art, Mike D and I partied all over the place. We would set up a tent in Arts backyard and all stay the nite there and when Art's parent went to bed we would sneek out of yard. I remember one nite we all 3 just got into out sleepin bags, and poor Art had to sign up for driver training at 6am, and his mom yells for him to get up. I still dont know how he passed. I remember when Mike D got his license to drive, OMG. I do love the guy but you sure dont wanta ride with him. We only got into a few accidents tho. After high school I went was working at Atlas and Mike D was at pontiac letter shop, as a delivery driver, LOL. He did get promoted to printer. That when Dave came into our lives and Kelly and the one and only DOG. Mike D never worked at Atlas but he partied with us. Then came the first time he was my bestman when I married the boys' mom.
Mike is missed greatly by family and friends and will be remembered forever.

On Virginia St. - I love and miss you so much! One Memory I will never forget is when I was little and we lived on Virginia St. and in the backyard by the huge oak tree... We would play catch with a baseball and mitt... when I caught a certian amount in a row I got a dollar! I also thought your room in the basement was the coolest, with shag carpet ALL OVER the whole room! U had Scorpians and I had Dwarf Hamsters... One of mine was sooo mean, So we decided to see who would win, hamster VS Scorpian... Well to make a long story short the Scorpian won and I was crying in the end when my hamster was in pain, twitching and twice the size... So I dug a grave in the back yard and it was shot with a bb gun. One more thing, When U and dad where building that doll house for me and I was exhiled from the basement, I got a peek at it one day when no one was gaurding the basement door. I had an idea of what it might be, but in the end when u guys revealed it to me, it was way better and bigger and more special than I ever thought it was going to be. That was one of my favorite toys for a LONG time even though it had to stay at Grams house. It is still around at my mom and dad's for all the young'ns to play with and when they r older they will read this one day, they'll remember that doll house and know where it came from : )

LAKEFEST - Another lakefest has come and gone,
Glasses were raised from dusk till dawn.
As family and friends said heres to Mike D, We also remember our dear friend Dave Lee. Both were taken at such a young age, like a book god had written and had come to their page.
He took them both for reasons unknown, their lives so short they were more like a loan. We will always cherish the times that we had. The highs and the lows, the good and the bad. When the fireworks start all the booms and the bursts, as we hear hoofs and hollers we think of you first. As the holidays near your absence grows stronger, the voids in our hearts grown deeper and longer. We see many signs you send from above, i hope you see our that are all filled with love. We hope you can see these times that you miss, and the love that was there from me and your sis.
We think of you often.

WHAT A WONDERFUL SON - MY WONDERFUL SON. I KNEW YOU WERE A BOY FROM THE FIRST MOMENT I REALIZED I WAS PREGNANT. YOU WERE A WONDERFUL, AND CURIOUS BOY, BUT NEVER ANY TROUBLE. AS YOU GREW UP, AS ALL BOYS DO, YOU GOT INTO MISCHIEF, BUT NEVER (AT LEAST NOT THAT I KNEW OF), ANY REAL TROUBLE. I WILL ALWAYS HAVE NOTHING BUT WONDERFUL MEMORIES OF YOU. THE WONDERFUL FATHER YOU WERE TO ALEX (THE LIGHT OF YOUR LIFE), THE FABULOUS HOUSEKEEPER, COOK, LAUNDRY PERSON, AND MOST OF ALL MY FAVORITE SON. I"M SO VERY SAD AT NOT HAVING YOU TO CALL EVERYDAY (TWICE A DAY), AND NOT BEING ABLE TO SPEND TIME WITH YOU WHEN I COME TO MICHIGAN. JUST AS ALEX WAS THE LIGHT OF YOUR LIFE, YOU WERE THE LIGHT OF MINE AND MY HEART WILL GO ON, BUT NEVER BE WHOLE AGAIN. I HAS EVERY ASSURANCE THAT I WILL SEE YOU AGAIN. YOU ARE MY SON SHINE. - from MOM
Great Father - Just wanted to send a tribute to a great dad,Alex could not have had a better one.... Rest In Peace Mike,I love you forever see ya when i get there. - from Toni
